In 1945, in the period of post-war reconstruction, Mario Solari, who had previously worked for Ote - Officine Trasformatori Elettrici in Bergamo, decided to set up the company P.I. Mario Solari.
The business in Via Verdi soon went on to become the exclusive sales representative in the city and province of Bergamo for the company Ansaldo San Giorgio in Genoa.
After the death of the founder, the company passed into the capable hands of his son Gino Solari, an accountant, who extended the product range and sensed the need for the company to act as a distributor as well as representative.
In 1967, he moved the company's headquarters to Via Ghislandi, a premises with large offices and warehouses ideal for the purpose of direct sales. Thanks to this bold move, Solari became a benchmark for the sale of electric engines, transformers, alternators and much more, for industries in and around Bergamo and Brescia.
In 2005, the company moved to Ranica, at the mouth of the Seriana Valley, a location more appropriate for the development of distribution. Solari then became the authorised distributor for Marelli Motori in Bergamo and Brescia.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of our company, the fourth generation of the Solari family, the current managers, arranged the move to the new premises in Pedrengo.
Our company now has a covered area of 1000 square metres which allows us to continue in our mission: to offer customer a professional and friendly service and products of guaranteed quality.
